Plugging the pipes

Should I be concerned that my 2 year old just ate up 6 pieces of bubblegum? Or should I be glad I know where they are and not chewed and strewn about...

Just to make sure his plumbing wasn't already good and stopped up he dove into a brick of good old fashioned cheese.

That's right, I ate Cheese mom. Now I am peacefully playing with my cars. What? I didn't do anything.

It is safe to say someone may be getting a diet of raisins, prune juice, and milk of magnesia; while someone else will be on poo-watching duty for the hunk of bubblegum to make it on through.

Hahaha, I think he will be just fine! Oh, the joys of having a 2 year old. They should be called lightning fast trouble makers not 2 year olds. When Momma is ready to pop a baby out and doesn't having any engergy it makes matters worse having a 2 year old.

I'm not looking forward to what he will do when I am nursing... his particularly loves to throw eggs. It's a good thing I have lots of salt in my food storage.

Madeline swallows her gum all the time. She likes to, for some reason. Anyway--it shouldn't block him up and it may even give him a little diarrhea, I think. Though with that massive amount of cheese, perhaps it will even things up?! :)
Is there a certain activity he loves doing, besides throwing eggs? Maybe you can put together and nursing basket--something he can do only when you are nursing. Maybe even a favorite short movie that you can turn on for him during that nursing that seems to take forever in the beginning. That's just an idea--I'm not good in practice: I remember being desperate when I nursed Madeline and Annalise was getting jealous. Take care.

Kim - what a great idea! You would think by this time around I would be thinking of ways get grips around the chaos - I think this would be a great way to include and occupy. Thank goodness I have talented friends. I get to copy you guys.

i just read your comment about 'while you are nursing' ... you'll have to practise the fine art of nursing while walking about ... it strikes fear into the hearts of those that like to think that mom is trapped!! hee hee

I think you have that one down - I have never been able to master it! I guess we will see what it comes to!

And c'mon, what do you mean you don't want poo duty?

First of all, I will do poo duty. I'm good with it and it is one thing I CAN do.
Second, when I was laying face down during my recent recovery (LOL), I listened to a show about food myths. Gum digests just like everything. (My recent recovery has made me an expert in alot of things, too bad they are mostly trivial.)
Third, you could always try locking him in his room while you nurse--just kidding.
Fourth, everything will be OK.
Fifth, LOVE YA!

Do we have a future Jeopardy champion in our midst? You know being an expert on trivial facts is quite impressive to those around you. And by the way, you got poo duty. I am so feelin the love from y'all today.

Carter is just like my Haedon. They are into everything all the time. I can't leave Haedon alone for a second. He was into the christmas chocolates the other day.

Katie, what the?! you still have christmas chocolates? That would be a freakin miracle around these parts. Candy and treats never make it too long at our house. I am always amazed by the people that have candy drawers!
